Came today from Home Depot. Great delivery and a superb installation. The machine is well made, solid as a rock and so easy to use. Thanks to GE we now have a smooth and easy way for all the family to stay sweet and clean! Great product. Top of wash machine does not lock Machine does not drain or spin out. Has not worked since it was delivered. Repair man didn't fix so I have not benn able to use since I bought it. No one seems to care

This is admittedly my first washer and dryer and I am absolutely in love. From going to laundromats once a week to being able to stay home and do laundry, it is truly magical. The wash settings are easy to use and customize depending on the clothes I am washing. The dryer is quick and gets things dry in great time. The color of this machine as well is just beautiful. It was super affordable and overall an amazing first machine to have.

Just delivered. Only used a few times. One glitch; lid on washer does not stay open. Will need to call for service already on that; disappointed. Other than that, the compact size is perfect for our small space. The fact 90% of repairs can be done from front, if needed, is highly beneficial for our tight area. I can already tell the dryer dries better than the 2yr old fancy Whirlpool we just replaced; excited about that...45 minutes for this one would equal over 2 hours of dry time for the other one. One thing; turn washer to OFF when done. We weren't and sequence lights stayed lit. Don't know if supposed to; will ask service repairman when fixes lid. Otherwise, so far so good.

Nice appliance, not the kind and Quality of the machine that this GE replaced. The Maytag Neptune cica. 2000 had a light in the dryer; this one does NOT. So disappointed that this stached unit is not a fromt loader for both washer and dryer. We have limited space on the boat and although this machine is a bit smaler, the fact that it is not a front loader is a disadvantage to us. I do like the stainless steel dryer and washer tubs. They are clean and bright. Just imagine how bright the dryer tub would have been with a nice lamp that illuminated when the door was Opened?

We only had the area for one unit the stack units filled that void.
The features we are looking for is a black stainless and an agitator in the wash machine. It was delivered and it worked one cycle and did not drain out anymore. After repeated calls and getting tossed around in their System. where they have a call back because it takes more than two hours to get there and finally talk to a human and they try to find a serviceman for your area. The first appointment was three weeks old and they never showed up the next appointment was another three weeks out and they never showed up finally on the third time. I was very demanding and they found me a service man in a week and a half that did come, but he wasn't able to remedy the problem until a return visit and waiting for parts for over a month. After continue calling for service they did offer me a $75 gift card for my troubles of having to use the laundromat for two months.
My suggestion please buy local. We tried but we needed a washer sooner. Our local stores said it would be two months to get ours so we went with GE through Home Depot. The Unit is working great for a whole two weeks now.

It sounds different than any washer I have ever owned, but once you know that is how it is supposed to sound, I am okay with it. My last washer rattled my windows so this one is really quiet. I don't know where to begin. After it was installed it wouldn't run because the door was out of alignment. We resorted to having a brick on top of washer door until the repairs could be made. Next, either washer dryer, began leaving black streaks on the laundry. The unit shakes violently when it is off balance. It's so bad that it can be seen making its way across the room. Lastly, The dryer door won't stay in the open position so when you reach down into the washer to get the laundry, the door closes most of the causing you to you bang your head when pulling laundry out of the washer. This product is a nightmare to say the least. We hope to get a full refund. The unit is only six months old.

This is my second set of a stackable washer/dryer. It does a much better job of getting the clothes clean as it has an agitator not an infusor. The clothes are spun to remove most of the water and that decreases the drying time. It has a status light so you know where it is at in the cycle. The dryer has seven cycles to choose from, another bonus. The only feature I miss is a buzzer to indicate the end of the dryer cycle. Otherwise, this is an excellent machine for my needs and I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

The GE Unitized Spacemaker replaces 2 stacked front-loaders (I don't think I can mention brand). I believe the dryer tub is bigger than what it replaced and the single unit takes up less space the the 2 old ones. There are a lot of functionality provided by this single unit. We ordered the charcoal color and it took a little longer to get, but it was worth it.

Useful. Pretty color. Fits in a smaller space. Washes and dries 8 pairs of large men's jeans; or king size sheets and comforters, does a great job on dirt but can be gentle enough for lacey unmentionables.

This unit is just the right size for my house. Single guy so don't need anything too big or extra fancy. So happy to be able to do my laundry at home now. I chose the gas fired dryer seeing as I have a propane stove. Propane fired generator and now propane dryer. Just purchased the Ge control module to connect to my phone and wi-fi.
