Efficient Dryer

We have only had this dryer a short time, but it consistently dries our clothes quickly. I like to take the clothes out while still damp and hang up, and they are dry enough in about 5-7 minutes on low. It holds our larger quilts easily. The sheets that we dry come out without wrinkles. We are happy with this dryer so far.

The dryer came with the warranty replacement, on time and was installed very quickly. The dryer works is advertised, I installed the app on my phone and get reminded every time the dryer finishes the cycle to pull out before clothes get wrinkled.

Great capacity and logical controls. Right out of the box the clothes would only dry using Timed Dry. Bodewell handles appliance service for GE and they were horrible to work with so I wasted over a month trying to get someone to come look at it. Finally I called the appliance store that sold it to me, and they were fantastic. GE recommended the repair guy replace the main control board . That fixed the problem, but the repair guy said it is possible the main control board was fine, but the factory "personality" setting could have been incorrect. I guess we'll never know because I have a new control board. So far so good, but now I regret giving away my 27-year old Whirlpool dryer that worked perfectly, and I could replace parts myself. I prefer that my appliances don't have personalities.

We have been very disappointed in this dryer. It takes forever to dry and you have to run several cycles to dry 2 king sheets. The sheets are 100% cotton and should dry in a normal cycle.

Being able to select which way to hinge the door makes using the pair (loading and unloading) much easier than most where the door hinge is at 9 o'clock. The wireless notification of when the washer and dryer cycles are ending is extremely useful when doing multiple loads.

I really like the dryer. Has a large capacity and plenty of options for different types of loads. The wrinkle prevention is very handy. I find the phone notifications very useful. The only issue I have had so far is the delicates cycle often leaves clothes slightly damp, even when set to ™€œdry™€. Having said that, it™€™s easy enough to sift through the clothes and leave the damp ones in for a few more minutes.

The capacity of the drum is huge compared to my old machine. I can do all of the cycles that could do with my previous machine plus steam. Most of the time I set the time I want on Hottest setting. I have only had it for a month so I haven't used the steam cycle yet to un-wrinkle cloths that have been left in the machine overnight. It has the feature though. The machine is in my master closet and it doesn't bother me at night. I still go right to sleep. So far this machine has performed well. I am hoping that it lasts longer than my last Dryer which lasted only 6 years. It was a Whirlpool.

Capacity is great, you can fit a king size comforter in there along with some sheets and it dries them all, great overall performance! There are many cycles available to choose from, and for the first time since switching to a front loader 9 years ago, I can use the predefined cycles and the clothes actually get dry! The noise level is much quieter than our Samsung dryer was and the energy star level got us a rebate from our energy provider. Overall we are very happy with this dryer and the matching washer!

I would give this dryer 5 stars except for a couple inconvenient features. - When using ™€œtimed dry™€, there is no 30 minute choice (only 20 and 40 minutes). To choose 30 ( my most often used time), I need to either add time to 20 minutes or subtract time from 40 minutes. Weird! - The alarm at the end of the drying cycle is so faint that we cannot hear it from another room.
