We waited over 1 year for delivery but it was worth the wait! This is by far the BEST dishwasher I have ever used. No need to rinse dishes prior to putting in the dishwasher. They come out clean every time. The cycle takes just over an hour to run.

I recently replaces an eighteen year old Bosch SHV46-C03UC-14 with this new model and have been very unhappy with the internal layout. I've been using it for over a month now.
As far as the operation goes, they added a new "start" button in addition to the On/Off button. While not a problem, I do not see the value in this as it is just one more unnecessary step in running the dishwasher. Oh well.
The previous dishwasher (SHV46-C03UC-14), had just two trays with a silverware basket. We were able to find an arrangement for all of our dishes, bowls, glasses, etc. that worked very well. That is not the case with the new unit.
The previous lower tray had two rows of parallel tines (running left to right) that accepted all of our plates and provided many options to place bowls, and glass storage containers of
different geometries. Here the front row has been turned 90 degrees and the tines are spaced and angled in a manner that precludes placing anything other than plates there. Soup and cooking bowls just fall over.
In the old model, we could place our soup bowls in a row upright between the tines of the upper rack. Now the middle tray has been redesigned so there there is no way to stand up these bowls, either there or on the lower rack. This means that they must be set facing flat down and a few bowls consume the entire rack area. I'd put these bowls on the top silverware rack, but this is not vertically adjustable (why not since you can lower the middle rack??) and is so close to the top of the dishwasher that almost nothing other than silverware can be placed there. That is very disappointing.
And speaking of silverware, we carefully place each piece in the spacers provided, but after much experimentation, we cannot find a method that holds the silverware in place when the drawer is shut -- not slammed, but simply slid in normally. The next time the drawer is opened, many of the pieces are loose as if they had just been thrown in.
I've always had good results with Bosch dishwashers and was glad to be purchasing one as a replacement. I'm so disappointed because my wife and I find this a big step backwards from the previous layout which means we have to run the dishwasher more frequently with what I consider to be a partial load. That's frustrating.
I'm writing this review simply as a heads-up for other potential buyers to take a close look at the racks and maybe bring some of your most used dishes, bowls, containers to a showroom to see just how well it works.

I'm very happy with this dishwasher. The dishes are cleaned like you would expect from a high-quality dishwasher. The plastics are not covered with waterspots when I remove them from the dishwasher either. I waited for the panel-ready model to become available and I'm very glad I did. It blends in with my kitchen cabinets and doesn't stand out.

Door springs wound way too tight. Obliterated all the cheap plastic housing - rendered this unusable. Hopefully Bosch will replace - substandard quality for them - I've been a customer my entire life and never had anything go wrong until now.

My front panel dishwasher is very quite. I don't like the fact that I need to use the pod detergent and rinse aid. I love the 3rd rack and the flexibility to swivel the prongs on the 2nd rack.

This dishwasher is great if you have typical dinnerware (plates, bowls, glasses etc). It's not so great for pots, pans, baking stuff and all the other kitchen stuff like water bottles, strainers and anything non plate or glass related. I find it hard to load a lot into it. I had a much cheaper dishwasher and loved it 100% more becuase better space. Also, I haven't figured out how to simply run a wash cycle with out dry time for when I'm baking multiple things. I'm disappointed with it and If I could return it, I would.

I have ordered a few bosch dishwashers before, and love them for how quiet they are. Aside from having to wait a full year for it to be delivered (due to production issues) when it finally arrived I was ecstatic. However, it is very noisy which was surprising to me. Cleans very well, but is noisy and disruptive.

Overall it's a good dishwasher. Relatively quiet but you need to completely seal off the dishwasher (especially near the kick plate to maximize the quiet qualities. My main gripe is the racks. I pride myself on being able to efficiently load any dishwasher but this one gives me a hard time.

The three racks are well designed, love the adjustable height of the middle rack. Machine cleans very well and quietly. But It is annoying that the dishes are still wet even with extra drying selected. Also, the cutout at the bottom / back edge is smaller than on older models, so installation can be complicated. Finally, the unit arrived with a dented top, so that the top tray would not open and close. There was no replacement in stock, but the dealer said this happens all the time, and I could probably bend it back into shape from the inside. Indeed, this worked fine, and the dealer gave me a discount. Fine, but at this price, can't the units be designed not to dent?

very pleased with this product. quiet and efficient. cleans well. We had one adjustment we had to learn with our schedule. Must open door shortly after end cycle to let the steam out or dishes and glasses will be wet if you let the sit. we use the scheduled timer so convient to open door in the AM and all was solved. Very happy with this purchase

Aways seems to have a bad smell inside. I've taken apart the filter and other components and cleaned them but the smell is still there. Everything looks clean. Don't know why it smells. Everything else is fine.

Good product. Love the light that shines on floor letting you know it is still on. The connections for water inlet and discharge are in the back not the front like most american dishwashers. The electrical connecion is different and may require an electrician when connecting if not a handy person.

I am disappointed in this Bosch dishwasher. Despite using the setting that's intended to work, it doesn't dry the dishes. With all the magnificent things technology can do these days, you'd think a dishwasher could actually dry the dishes.

Had high hopes for the new model since our old Bosch dishwasher was great.. Too bad you can't "test drive" before you buy.
Paid a thousand bucks for a dishwasher thats way louder than the 17 year old Bosch it replaced.(should have fixed that one again) Not sure how they arrived at the 44db rating unless it was filled it with marshmallows or pillows during testing.
It is also far worse are drying plastic than the old one. Doesn't matter what cycle you run it comes out dripping wet. I've even left the door closed for 24 hours. Same thing, dripping wet. Once again I should have repaired the old one.
Disappointing purchase to say the least.

We recently replaced our 18 year old dishwasher with a beautiful new 300 series Bosch. I chose Bosch based on reveiws I received from friends who have one and from online reviews. I was not misled. It is as quiet as everyone says and has an excellent claening ability. I had to always prewash everything by hand before my old dishwasher could really sanitize them.
I am still waiting for my custom panel to be made and sent to me, so for now the outside is not so beautiful but I love having the control panel on the top and unseen. I also can't get over how much I can fit in this dishwasher vs my old one. It is the same dimensions but Bosch very smartly designed the racks so many more dishes can fit. The only negative I would say is that the newer model does not dry the dishes as well but I have been told all new dishwashers that are designed to be more energy efficient are going to have this result. I consider this the best dishwasher purchase I could have made! And can't wait to get my custom panel in so it integrates with the cabinets.

I am very disappointed that even with the extra dry setting, nothing comes out dry. I know the system is not heated but I never expected that nothing is dry. I wish I could return the dishwasher. Big mistake.

I have had my Bosch dishwasher for several months now and so far it has been doing a good job with one exception.
Prior to my purchase, I read several other reviews where folks had complained about the drying capabilities of this washer. I decided to buy it anyway because I live in a very dry climate where complete drying is not so much of an issue. Well, they weren't kidding. I always choose the "Extra Dry" cycle, and the inside of the washer is still dripping when I open the door. I usually just leave the door open for a while to finish the drying job.
My previous washer was a super quiet Viking model. So I was especially interested in a new machine that was as quiet as the one I was used to. My new Bosch is indeed quiet, but I guess I was expecting to hear nothing whatsoever from all of the claims and customer reviews. Sure, one can hear the water sloshing around a bit, but I guess that's to be expected. It's not annoying at all.
The installation instructions expect one to have an electrical outlet in an adjoining cabinet. Consequently, the design gives little to no room for any slack in the various hoses. One is expected to pull any slack into the adjoining cabinet base. If you don't happen to have an adjoining cabinet with an electrical outlet, this can be a problem, as we are instructed to never use and extension cord. Also, any slack in the water supply hose or drain hose will end up in the adjoining cabinet if not under the sink cabinet. As one who likes to keep things neat and tidy under there, I'm not crazy about that design constraint.

Replaced our older Bosch (15 years old?) when the drain pump failed. This new model is better in some ways and worse in others. It holds more dinner plates and can hold plenty salad and dessert plates as well. If you remove the utensil holder, you can put some pots or serving dishes there. We try to put all untensils in the top utensil rack so as to keep that space available for over-sized pieces. (I like the utensil rack. Wasn't sure I would.) The rub is the cup rack. It just doesn't hold as many items as our old did. Virtually nothing fits below the fold-down rack and not much above it so you have to pick your poison. (We could fit juice glasses below and custard cups above in our old model. With the new one, it is either one or the other.)
It does seem to clean better, the detergent dispenser is better placed, and it is still relatively quiet. I also like the light feature indicating that the dishwasher is running. (We have the custom panel model so you cannot see where it is in the cycle.)

We installed this dishwasher ourselves with a panel purchased from a cabinetry company. It was very straightforward. The dishwasher is almost completely silent, and appears to clean well. The dishes are sometimes rather wet at the end of the cycle, but we don't mind that. The door spring is very strong and almost slams the door shut - it can be tough to remember to pull it all the way open when you just want to slip things in, but I love that I know it shuts firmly! All in all, we love it so far.

Bought this panel ready dishwasher because it is flush with the cabinets. However my knives spot, the rack configuration is odd and does not easily accomodate thicker items like bowls and thicker glass lids. Forget about pots and pans.

The Bosch 300 Series Dishwasher works fine. It like most applicances today takes at least twice as long to complete the job as appliances of yesterday. This appliance requires Jet-Dry Rinse Aid, running the sanitize cycle and running the extra dry cycle to get your dishes dry. The washer has lots of rack space for dishes, a good thing if you have a large family, but with smaller families, like ours, it takes quite a few days to fill it up, so I end up being more concerned with food drying than with my previous dishwasher. I don't believe in washing my dishes before placing them in the dishwasher, with this one I make sure food gets wiped off, not something I did before.

I have had a Kitchenaide dishwasher for many years. When I installed my new Bosch dishwasher, I could not have been more pleased. Since I am tall, I never realized how constantly bending to put all the silverware in the bottom of old machine was hurting my back. I was also impressed with how quiet it was. I almost thought it wasn't working when i dtarted the cycle. Honestly, barely a sound. It is also more cost efficient, as i load it and time it to wash after midnight when the electricity per kWh goes down. Just very happy with my purchase.

My first 300 series dishwasher ran for 15 years without incident. I couldn't be happier with this product. It accomodates all sorts of oddly-shaped dishes and glasses, and cleans beautifully. I have never seen a water spot on my glassware. The 300 series runs so quietly that I depend on the small red light to let me know it's running. I highly recommend this product.

Very unhappy. I ordered one with a third rack. If I use it I can't get standard dinner plates in. It's in the garage. Had to remove 'wine stem glass holder as with it in I don't have enough room for cups and glasses. Also it runs for 2.5 hours with a full load.

You all have lost a customer. Dishwasher is poor quality. Less than 2 years old, 4 service calls, and still not working. Just received word from your customer service on this file number 2452843 that you're unwilling to replace the product, that rather we are being offered a prorated discount on a new dishwasher. Ask yourself, why would we invest a single dollar more with Bosch on a product that is less than 2 years old, a money pit, and further that the company is not willing to stand behind. From our first hand experience with Bosch, if we invest any more money with Bosch, the next product will last less than two years before we have to replace it again. From our experience, Bosch represents a inferior quality product and unacceptable customer service from a company that doesn't stand behind their products. This suggestion by Bosch to buy another unit further disappointed us: Bosch is telling us a customer, "Buy our inferior product, when it stops working less than two years later, you can buy another one at a discount"! I am not a technician, however believe a dishwasher should last much longer than 2 years. Attached picture is only way we can get dishwasher to run a cycle. This is AFTER 4 service calls! We paid a lot of money for this unit and expected way better Bosch.

This dishwasher cleans storage containers, plates, utensils, flatware thoroughly and quietly. Two drawbacks are absence of option to turn off drying, and difficulty with finding space for large and/or odd-shaped serveware. This can be managed with a little creativity.

We had it 3 years and already major things are going wrong. First error code 15, then latch breaks and still waiting on the part to come in. Now the waste water pump is malfunctioning. Never buying a Bosch product again. Going to back to Kitchen Aid.
