After just 3 months the dryer quit working and to make things worse the customer support was absolutely terrible. Nobody genuinely wanted to help. It felt like they just didnt want to spend any money fixing this brand-new broken dryer and instead they left me and my wife completely screwed. For starters we called and were told a sensor was dirty. That did nothing. We called again and were told it was the dryer vent. We had just moved into our house 6 months ago and had already had the vent cleaned. But we went ahead and cleaned it again. Still didnt work. Then they blamed the duct going into the dryer. So we went out and spent $50 on materials to fix that still did absolutely nothing. We called again and this time they said the gas pressure wasnt strong enough going to the dryer. So we called our gas company. Because of the potential safety risk they treated it like a gas leak. That meant my wife our dog and I were forced to evacuate our house and wait outside until 9:30 p.m. for the gas company to arrive. Heres the kicker: the gas tech told us we were his ninth house that day dealing with the same issue all because LG had told people their gas pressure was wrong Nine homes in just our area all being misled and blamed by LG for problems that werent theirs. So we called LG again and they told us a service technician would be out Tuesday August 19 today. It gets even better they canceled on us. No explanation no reschedule. Throughout this entire ordeal weve had to call several times and most of the time we were completely ghosted. No one wanted to help. I mean NO ONE. All of this over a $900 dryer that didnt even last 3 months. I fully understand that malfunctions can happen but this issue was never resolved and LG made no real effort to make it right. I have never encountered such terrible customer service in my life. I truly hope this review helps another young couple out there who just bought a house and new appliances starting their life together. Weve now learned: read the reviews first or youll be ghosted just like we were. $900 gone.

After 3 months the dryer quite working and on top of that the customer support was terrible. Nobody wanted to genuinely help they just didnt wanna spend any money on this brand new broken dryer and screw me and my wife. For starters we called and we were told a sensor was dirty. LG Dryer- No Heat No Help No Accountability

If I could give this dryer a ZERO and LG as a company I WOULD I bought an LG dryer just three months ago and its already failing. It will not dry clothes at all because theres no heat just air tumbling clothes endlessly leaving them damp no matter how long I run it. For a brand-new appliance this is completely unacceptable. The real nightmare started when I tried to get help. Ive spent countless hours on the phone with LG customer support and it has been an absolute waste of time. They transferred me around gave me the runaround and offered zero real assistance. No one seems willing to take responsibility or even send someone out to fix the issue under warranty. They just keep repeating useless troubleshooting steps like checking the vent or unplugging the unit things Ive already done multiple times. It feels like theyre stalling on purpose hoping Ill just give up. Its clear LG does not stand behind their products or care about customer satisfaction once theyve got your money. Im now stuck with a defective dryer that doesnt work and LG refuses to help. I regret ever trusting this brand and Ill never buy another LG product again. Save yourself the money and the headache avoid LG.

Cant turn off chime or connect to thin q app

I am so frustrated to find out that I cannot turn off the chime on this model. How can that not be a standard feature? Im supposed to have figured this out on my own before buying it? It is very loud and I cant use it without bothering people sleeping in my house. When the dryer is running it is quite I love that but why then do I have to hear so many beeps? The dryer is always off so you have to turn it on to use chime. Turn the knob chime. Start the cycle chime. Cycle ends chime. Apparently its very select models that you cannot turn it off and Im the lucky one. Also this model does not connect to thin q app you really dont get access to any settings at all. What you see on the interface is it.

Do not buy this machine The first time I used it the fabric softener sheet was sucked in between the drum and the bottom of the lint filter unit. I had to rip it out It happened again the second time Called the place I purchased it from said they warranty their products but they dont want to warranty the LG I purchased even through they can Had to place a call to LG. They referred my warranty claim to a company I never heard about. They showed up 1 1/2 weeks later and said they needed to order/replace the drum and lint unit. Once that was replaced the dryer was making a vibrating noise from the back of the machine. After going back forth with LG customer service they said if it were a manufacturer defect they would cover it but if not I would have to pay for it. I let it go. After that first load I removed the lint filter and its lopsided Who knows how much lint is going up the lint duct Im just throwing my hands up in the air. LG used to be a great product but theyre slipping even the sales person told me that. Again...you get what you pay for

We purchased this from the LG website and had to adjust the settings immediately to get the unit to dry our clothes which is normal. After about two weeks the unit would no longer dry our clothes the sensors kept shutting the machine down. We have been unable to resolve these issues. It is very frustrating that a new dryer from a reputable manufacturer will not work as it should. We have been in contact with customer service and cannot get this resolved.

Dryer seems to take a great deal of time to dry the clothes. It seems more logical to me that when the machine is drying the Dry LED should be a solid illuminated instead of a blinking light. Also when using manual dry it would be nice to have a timer showing time remaining for the selected cycle.

We bought this gas dryer from Home Depot. This is our third gas dryer and its a major disappointment. We frequently have to run the clothes through a second cycle to get them completely dry. Never had that problem before. Called Home Depot and a Sears technician came out. He said nothing was wrong. He suggested a part be replaced and we should order from LG. We called LG and were told the tech needed to order the part Its been over a week and we havent heard from anyone. We give LG and Sears repair 5 stars and 2 thumbs up for Customer NO SERVICE

Sorry I cannot write a review. I am still waiting to take delivery. I bought the dryer in early August on the delivery date received a call that it would be 2 weeks later. When that date arrived which is today I received a call that it would be 2 weeks later again. Can you tell me why as a curtesy the buyer cannot be notified the day before? If not the buyer should be reimbursed for lost wages for taking day off for delivery. As a result of the poor delivery service I doubt if I will ever purchase an LG product again. I currently have an LG washer.

We purchased this to replace a Maytag gas dryer that failed after 31 years. Chose the LG for a number of reasons: we wanted a basic front loading gas dryer that was eligible for the energy efficiency rebates offered by our local utility and it had top ratings in its class price and features from CR. So far so good. Easy to operate fairly quiet and dries out clothes quickly. My only knock is the dryer lint filter will accumulate lint along the outside edge which is hard to remove.

Debated between LG and a similar Maytag model. After considering the rebates offered by our utility company for the LG as an energy efficient model the vote went to LG. Delivery and installation was smooth. So far so good. I wish there was a bit more granularity in the settings for time but the unit is quiet and seems to have the basic functions who needs WiFi and a window on thier dryer?.

I didnt get my knob on my dryer when purchased the dryer. I was promised and then told was out of stock being discontinued. The company you sent out to me wanted to charged me for the knob over $187 for labor for doing nothing. I was furious because this was a new dryer plus warranty. Also he never looked at the dryer or codes showing there was a problem with not heating the clothes that werent drying I had to get someone else to fix it.

I bought this dryer less than a year ago. About a month ago it stopped drying clothes. I contacted Customer Services and since then I have been given the run around. Ten days ago an Engineer came out to look at it. He said he needed to order a part. Since then I am still waiting for a date when it will be fixed. Its most inconvenient not having a dryer. My laundry is piling up. There is a limit to how much I can hang out on the deck. It is against the rules of the housing association.

**Rating: 2/5** I recently purchased an LG gas dryer and unfortunately it has been a challenging experience. The flow sensor continuously shut the dryer down leading to multiple disruptions. Over the past month I had to resort to using a laundromat to wash and dry my clothes. A service technician visited my home four times to address the issue but could not resolve it. Then another technician came and insisted that the flow sensor problem was my responsibility. Frustrated I reached out to LG directly and reported the technicians unhelpful response. LG was responsive and set up an appointment with an official LG technician to inspect the dryer and the flow sensor issue. Although the situation has been inconvenient I appreciate that LG has compensated me for my laundromat expenses. I hope the upcoming appointment with the official LG technician finally resolves the problem so I can use my dryer as intended.

I bought this a few weeks ago and so far I am very glad I did. It works great. The clothes come out almost wrinkle free. It was a very good buy.

We are rather unhappy that the dryer does not have the capability of venting out the right side of the dryer like our previous Kenmore dryer did. We did not realize that restriction until we read the manual after it was delivered. . We had to vent it out the back of the dryer and it causes the dryer to sit nearly a foot out into the laundry room. It is too bad the design does not allow venting either out the left side right side.......or the back. Other wise it seems to be working fine. The gas ignition and firing on this dryer is very loud. It does not even dry that great. Regret buying it

Dryer Venting

We were disappointed that the new LG gas dryer did not have capabilities to vent out the right side of the dryer. We did not learn that until the dryer was delivered and uncrated by Home Depots installation contractors and we read the owners manual. They installed it with an unsatisfactory rear vent connection to our previous ducting. I age 92 worked two days with various elbows and clamps to make the connection suitable. And it makes the dryer sit out further into the room. I would be nice if the dryer was designed so it could be vented out either side or the back. Otherwise it seems to be working fine.
