I bought this in late July when I really needed it. Got it installed in early Aug. 2022 and it worked great. Temps cooled off so I turned the unit off. Temps went back up so I tried to turn the unit back on. I tried everything I could do but the unit would NOT TURN ON AGAIN. Called LG help line Oct/22/2022 and Im still waiting on a service call 11/29/2022.

Nice unit but has issues

Has an advanced rotary compressor and is extremely quiet but the fan speeds are poor. I can not tell any difference between the low and high speed and the high speed is about the same as on my 5000 btu unit and this one is 12000.One reason I purchased the unit was its ability to turn it on remotely since this is in our weekend home and it works great LG warranty service sucks This unit weighs 80 lb and the first one we purchased did not work. pretty poor quality control to not test unit before they sell it. They have no in home service in our area had to remove and return to the store. Kept getting different stories from the LG service people. Forgot to mention a nice feature is the unit has a case which you install in the window then you slide the unit in instead of having this 80 lb thing to install. Would buy again just hope dont ever need any warranty service on the unit

This AC is so good that when my last one went out and the extended warranty had been expired for a while I knew this was the exact one I wanted. Love the App that enables you to adjust settings from your phone and check the filter and smart diagnose any issues that might arise. I really like that the AC comes out of its case so you can install just the case first and then the AC unit. It cools well in the southern heart and humidity. Well worth the purchase.

I have had this new unit less than a week and it has been nothing but problems. This is a replacement for the exact same model that lasted just 4 years before the thermostat stopped functioning. This one seems to have the same problem. Actually this ones problem seems to be much worse. I am sitting here right now with it turned to 65 degrees in an effort to get it to cool - room temperature is now climbing to over 80. The compressor kicks in but stops either immediately or after much too short a period to cool the room. Bad news - I have a brand new air conditioner that does not work and this is the first day of a forecast 7-day heat wave.

The air conditioner would not turn on.

This air conditioner was fully installed in my 39 in. wide window. It was easy to install. I plugged it in and the fan was working. Four hours later I attempted to turn the unit on for cooling and it would not start. I went through all the checks per LG instructions but had no success in turning on the unit. I removed the unit and returned it to LOWES. LOWES ordered me another unit of the same model. When it arrived at my home I decided not to install it at first but rather plug it in on the floor to see if it works. This second unit also did not work. This unit was returned to LOWES and an off brand non LG air conditioner was purchased. This new air conditioner turns on and works well. The bottom line for this experience is that LG needs to test there products at the factory before selling to there customers.

Horrible experience with this air conditioner. Does not cool at night customer service at LG is horrible and cant seem to fix problem. Representatives from the presidential department will call you and hang up the phone on you the worst customer service ever . Stuck with an enormous AC that does not cool .

I was looking for a unit that I could run off a generator and at least cool some of my house and this surely works Its installed in a Florida room approx. 10x22 220sf and I can run it with the sliding glass door open and cool my living room dining room and kitchen to a comfortable/reasonable temperature. Love the Wifi and scheduling feature as I programmed this unit to run periodically through the hottest part of these Florida summer days and a little less through the night. I like the fact that these newer units use less electricity I was able to run this off a Topshak 1000wh portable battery generator for a few minutes then it kicked off. Might need a more beefy portable generator.
