We love our sidekick but the product falls short on the lid. The handle itself is very fragile and this is our second lid replacement which is costly and cannot be purchased from LG. When we contacted LG to find a local LG representative we were provide names of companies that when we called said they do nit service LG products. So we were left finding and researching the internet ourselves. I really expected a better product quality and help from LG on this one considering the rest of our LG products are great.

Great size for small loads

I love the ability to wash small loads using less water The only complaint is the plastic handle. It broke but only after almost 5 years of careful use. Glad I had the warranty Also I leave it open to avoid mold so it has to be kept pulled out.

Bad design . A Mildew Magnet

Do not buy this. Its a great idea but according to the in my opinion completely non-experienced techs reading from scripts LG its normal for there to be some water at the bottom of the machine after a cycle. I had to repeat until I was blue in the face a lot of water that doesnt evaporate even with fans dry climate the top open 24/7 for ONE Month is NOT NORMAL. Mildew city. Its a LEMON.clearly the design needs to be rethought with water sensors for appropriate draining. If you dont use it every few days any cloths come out of it with black stains.

We thought this one over extensively. We needed a pedestal to match the dryer pedestal for the height we wanted and the cost of this unit was only $350 more for the washer function - over just a drawer. So we ordered this option. It has already proven its worth The ability to quickly wash small loads like kitchen towels hand towels undergarments and anything that does better on a gentle cycle - this is the answer to that task. You can run both units at the same time. This one always finishes first and the clothes and or towels are completely clean. This uses less water less power and less time. So if you have a small load or need only one thing cleaned quickly before the stain sets in this unit is ideal for the task.

I finally got it in April installed in June and I LOVE it My kids are in tons of sports and this makes it so easy to wash jerseys shorts whatever and not have to run my huge washer with only 4-5 things in it.
